Manipulating program rules
PipFarm's policy on tactics designed to manipulate or bypass program rules — and the consequences if we detect them.
PipFarm doesn't allow trading tactics designed to bypass program rules. This includes opening offsetting or partial positions, splitting trades across days, or shuffling activity between accounts purely to manipulate a metric — rather than as part of genuine trading intent.
⚠️ Strategically hedging or trading to satisfy a requirement, without genuine trading intent, creates artificial progress and undermines the integrity of the program.
Rules This Applies To
This policy covers any rule where artificial trading activity could create a false outcome, including:
Minimum Profitable Days (challenge and Simulated Funded Accounts)
Minimum Winning Days (Instant Accounts)
Trailing Max Loss — including EOD Trailing, Equity Trailing, and Payout Trailing
Pip Protector Risk Window or trade idea grouping
The 90% Rule (legacy accounts only)
Examples of Manipulation
Example 1 — Profitable / Winning Day manipulation
Partially closing or closing and re-entering the same trade idea across multiple trading days to inflate the number of qualifying days. The progress is artificial — the same single trade idea is being booked as if it were several independent decisions.
Example 2 — Consistency Score manipulation
Splitting profit from a single trade idea across multiple days by re-entering or partially closing positions, so that no single day looks dominant. This artificially smooths the Consistency Score without representing real diversified performance.
Example 3 — Trailing Max Loss manipulation
Opening an equal-size position in the opposite direction (hedging) to lock in profits without moving the balance, creating an artificial buffer below the trailing limit.
Example 4 — Max Daily Loss manipulation
Using up most of the daily loss allowance on one account, then switching to another account to continue trading the same symbol in the same direction on the same day.
Consequences
If we detect activity intended to manipulate any program rule, we may take one or more of the following actions:
Reset the account or challenge
Request you to redo the trading requirements
Remove any profit gained through the manipulation
Breach the account
Decisions are made case-by-case based on the pattern of activity, not on a single trade.
🚨 Manipulating program rules can result in your account being permanently breached and any associated profits being voided.
