What is a performance review?
A performance review is a short video interview with a member of our team. These are one-on-one interviews. We invite traders who display unsustainable trading patterns. They are not a punishment, and they do not mean you’ve done anything wrong.
We use it to get to know you better as a trader and to verify that your trading aligns with our program standards, ensuring we meet our responsibilities as a risk-conscious company.
Why are some traders selected for a review
Various reasons trigger performance reviews. Some examples:
You've been with PipFarm for a long time, and we want to get to know you better.
You've purchased a high number of challenges in a short period.
You've failed multiple challenges or funded accounts.
Your trading behaviour has been inconsistent.
Your trading involves aggressive risk-taking that is only profitable in the short term.
There’s no single reason that triggers a review. Each case is unique, and in many instances, it’s simply a matter of internal due diligence that is quickly resolved.
What happens if you're selected for a performance review
If you've been invited to attend a performance review:
You’ll be sent a link to book a time that works for you – we offer slots every day of the week.
You’ll be asked if you need a translator. We will provide one for you. You cannot use a friend or family member.
While the review is pending, your trading account and services will be temporarily paused. This includes:
Placing new trades
Buying challenges
Receiving payouts
⚠️ PipFarm is not responsible for any missed opportunities, trades, or promotions during this time.
Preparing for a Performance Review
There’s no special preparation needed. Just be yourself. However, you must attend the interview from a computer, not a smartphone or tablet.
To complete the performance review, you’ll need:
A laptop or desktop computer
A webcam
A microphone
To install Zoom.
Some things we may ask you are:
How you approach trading
What are your goals
How long have you been trading
Your experience with PipFarm and other firms
You’ll have a chance to ask questions during the call. However, we don’t disclose full details in advance; this is important to protect the integrity of the process.
It’s not an exam. The goal is to understand your trading mindset and confirm that the account is being used as intended. Most traders leave the review feeling more confident, supported, and part of something serious.
What happens after the performance review?
It can take up to 72 hours for the team to review and propose next steps (if any). Should they determine that your trading is unsustainable, temporary probationary measures may be introduced to help you get back on track. You’ll be informed by email and offered an opportunity to discuss any measures in a follow-up call.
FAQ
What happens if I don't attend the performance review?
If you are unable or unwilling to attend the review, we may suggest alternative measures via email rather than discussing them over a call.
