Introduction
News trading is allowed. However, our trading platform prevents opening new positions five minutes before and up to ten minutes after high-impact news.
This restriction is not a rule and will never cause account breaches. The duration trading is restricted depends on when liquidity stabilises, and reliable execution can resume.
How the news trading regulation works
Five minutes before high-impact news, all symbols, except for cryptocurrencies, will be switched to close-only mode. From this moment on, you cannot open new positions, but you can still close them.
For example, if the FOMC (a high-impact news event) is at 12:30 GMT, opening positions are disabled in the trading platform from 12:25 to 12:35 to 12:40 GMT.
During this period, you can still close or decrease position size and set and modify take-profit and stop-loss orders, which can also be triggered.

Up to 10 mins after red news | Disabled | Enabled | Enabled | Enabled |
